Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year! I'm excited for a fun and exciting year of learning. Below is a little bit of information about me.
I attended Cal Poly SLO and received my B.S. in Child Development and a minor in Psychology. I then received my M.A. in Education and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from San Jose State University. This is my fourth year teaching 4th grade at Capri, and it' s been great! I love our school community and I've become more involved every year. Currently, I'm part of the school leadership team, the district Instructional Leadership Team, and I'm one of the student Cornerstone Leadership teachers. I'm enjoying these additional roles as I can continue to learn new things and share that knowledge with others. These provide me with opportunities to bring new, innovative, and best practices back to the classroom to help foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving.
I believe the best way to cultivate a strong classroom community is through dialogue and collaboration. Because of this, I encourage communication between students, teachers, and parents. To keep an open line of communication, please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions or concerns you have. The best way to reach me is via email at [email protected]. I'm looking forward to getting to know you and your children this year!
